Rule Reminder: Subbing on fly for outdoor 55 min games
To sub in, players must wait at the sideline off the field of play until they have been tagged-in by the player subbing off. Once the new player has been tagged-in on the sideline, they can then proceed onto the field of play. This is so that the subbing team does not gain an unfair advantage.
Subbing on the fly is in effect for the following teamplay.ca ultimate seasons only: early-spring, fall and winter.

Fall/Winter - Indoor Ultimate Rules
The following is a list of Indoor Ultimate Rules that differ from Outdoor Ultimate Rules:
Game Lengths: Games are approx 55 minutes in length.
Substitutions are made on the fly and can ONLY be made by switching players in your own end. The player coming off the field must tag the substituted player on the sideline (out of bounds) prior to switching regardless of where the discs is in play. Subs can be made after a point is scored, but the play is not held up while substitutions are completed.
Rules Q&A
Q: How long does the thrower have to pick up the disc on a change of possesion? If they take a while when can the defender start counting stalls?
A: The thrower is allowed a reasonable amount of time to pick up the disc on a turnover to start play. By reasonable amount of time, if the thrower waits more than 5-10 seconds to pick up the disc, the defender can begin the stall count after that reasonable amount of time has passed.
