1. What is Teamplay Sports?

We're not some faceless corporation; we're here to play too.  You'll find at least one of us playing in most of our leagues. So we really do care about making sure that everyone has a great time because we want to have a great time too. That's why we run Teamplay Sports .

2. I don't think I'm very good. Can I still play?

Yes! Competitive play is encouraged, but playing at Teamply Sports is really about having a blast, getting in shape, and meeting fun people in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Whether youÃ??Ã?¢??re a beginner or a pro, all competitors are expected to be friendly and encouraging to their teammates and to their opponents at all times. Some of our sports may be offered in three classes: Recreational, Intermediate, and Competitive. If there is more than one option, be sure to sign up for the appropriate league.

3. Can I sign up as an individual?

Yes, Teamplay will place you on a team that may need a few more people, or more likely, you will be placed on a team others who have signed up as individuals. We will do our best to find the best possible fit for you. During the online registration, you can leave us any special requests in the registration form.

4. How can I be on the same team as my friends, or small group?

If you donÃ??Ã?¢??t have a full team, but would like to sign up as a group, you have two options:

  1. Sign up as a small group - this will connect each of your freinds together.
  2. Sign up as an individual and leave us a message in the "Notes" section in the online registration form by including the full names of the players whom you would like to play with.

We can?¢??t guarantee anything, but we?¢??ll are almost always able to accommodate everyone.

5. Where do I find info regarding the following...

More information can be found in our League-Wide Rules & Policies for All Leagues regarding the following items:

  • Spectators in the playing area

6. Some of our players can't come this week. Can we bring substitute players?

Yes, just make sure all new players sign a waiver and hand it in to a Teamplay.ca representative before the game. All captains should have extra waiver forms included in their captainÃ??Ã?¢??s package. If you need more waiver forms, please email us at play@teamplay.ca at least 24 hours before your game and weÃ??Ã?¢??ll be sure bring extras. And in the spirit of fair play, no ringers! That is, substitute players should not be stronger players than the ones they are replacing. For playoffs, a sub must have played in a least 1 or 2 games in the regular season (see each sport's specific rules) to be eligible to play in a playoff game.

7. Are the games rescheduled if the weather is bad?

No, all games are played rain or shine unless there is lightning, other extreme weather conditions, or the fields are closed by the city. Games cancelled due to lightning or extreme weather will not be rescheduled.

8. Our opponents didnÃ??Ã?¢??t show up. What do we do?

Defaults are rare, but in the event the other team doesnÃ??Ã?¢??t show up or doesnÃ??Ã?¢??t have enough players, you will automatically win the game. You are welcome to use the field or court during your scheduled match for a fun game or practice.

9. Can I suggest new sports to Teamplay?

Yes, please do. WeÃ??Ã?¢??re always looking for new sports to play. We need to make sure thereÃ??Ã?¢??s enough demand, so the more people that suggest a sport, the more likely we are to add it to the schedule.

10. I have a problem with, or a suggestion for, your website. Can I let you know?

Of course. To keep your playing costs low, we do all of the web design ourselves. WeÃ??Ã?¢??re not pros, but we getting better. Please let us know about any bugs you find or any suggestions you have to make the site better.

11. Is it safe to use my credit card to register on your website?

To make sure your payment information is secure, all of our online payments are handled by Stripe.  However, cash, cheque, and email transfer payments can also be arranged - just simply contact us for more infomation.

12. Where and when are games played?
