2. I don't think I'm very good. Can I still play?

Yes! Competitive play is encouraged, but playing at Teamply Sports is really about having a blast, getting in shape, and meeting fun people in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Whether youre a beginner or a pro, all competitors are expected to be friendly and encouraging to their teammates and to their opponents at all times. Some of our sports may be offered in three classes: Recreational, Intermediate, and Competitive. If there is more than one option, be sure to sign up for the appropriate league.

If you dont have a full team, but would like to sign up as a group, you have two options:

  1. Sign up as a small group - this will connect each of your freinds together.

6. Some of our players can't come this week. Can we bring substitute players?

Yes, just make sure all new players sign a waiver and hand it in to a Teamplay.ca representative before the game. All captains should have extra waiver forms included in their captainÃ????Ã???Ã??Ã?¢??s package. If you need more waiver forms, please email us at play@teamplay.ca at least 24 hours before your game and weÃ????Ã???Ã??Ã?¢??ll be sure bring extras. And in the spirit of fair play, no ringers! That is, substitute players should not be stronger players than the ones they are replacing. For playoffs, a sub must have played in a least 1 or 2 games in the regular season (see each sport's specific rules) to be eligible to play in a playoff game.

7. Are the games rescheduled if the weather is bad?

No, all games are played rain or shine unless there is lightning, other extreme weather conditions, or the fields are closed by the city or facilty owner. Games cancelled due to lightning or extreme weather will not be rescheduled.

8. Our opponents didnt show up. What do we do?

Defaults are rare, but in the event the other team doesnt show up or doesnt have enough players, you will automatically win the game. You are welcome to use the field or court during your scheduled match for a fun game or practice.

9. Can I suggest new sports to Teamplay?

Yes, please do. Were always looking for new sports to play. We need to make sure theres enough demand, so the more people that suggest a sport, the more likely we are to add it to the schedule.

10. I have a problem with, or a suggestion for, your website. Can I let you know?

Of course. To keep your playing costs low, we do all of the web design ourselves. WeÃ????Ã???Ã??Ã?¢??re not pros, but we getting better. Please let us know about any bugs you find or any suggestions you have to make the site better.

11. Is it safe to use my credit card to register on your website?

To make sure your payment information is secure, all of our online payments are handled by Stripe.  However, cash, cheque, and email transfer payments can also be arranged - just simply contact us for more information. When you use your credit card, please ensure your address associated with your credit card company is entered exactly the same as when they have on file, otherwise payment won't go through.

12. Where and when are games played?

Teamplay Sports currently offers leagues in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge.  The venues themselves will be a mix of school facilities (fields and gyms), community centres, public fields and private facilities. Games are played once a week on a given day, Sunday to Thursday. Refer to league schedules for specific times/days/locations.

13. Is there a place to celebrate with teammates after the game? Where are the Post-Game Socials?

Yes. After each game visit our local sponsor pubs where you can relax and have fun after your game and enjoy a deal with your teammates. Please visit our Partners page to view the deals (this is a members only page).

14. My team is winning (or losing) all of our games. Will we be reseeded?

In leagues where we have 12 or more teams, differences in skill level can become apparent over the course of the season. With this in mind, we do look at reseeding teams once or twice during the season, with the first time being at or after the halfway mark  to ensure that we have an accurate sample size of results to determine a teams skill level relative to the other teams in the league (reseeding after only 1 or 2 games is generally inaccurate as it does not give a good sample size of a teams relative skill level). That being said, we will not reseed just for the sake of reseeding; moving a team up means moving a team down (and vice versa), and we try to ensure as best we can that the team we are moving up (or down) is a better fit in that new division than the team we are replacing them with. The 2nd time we will reseed teams will be heading into the playoff week - this way similar teams will face each other in the playoff rounds.

15. Is there random testing for performance enhancing drugs?

Ummm...no. If someone asks you to pee in a cup, they're not with Teamplay Sports.
